ENROLLMENT IS CLOSEd.  Reynolds Students can Enroll for summer session on march 4th, 2024.  We are holding lottery requests for out of district students, in the event we may have vacancies.  We will contact potential lottery placements.

Enrollment Process

eligibility

  • Applicants must possess a valid Oregon instruction permit or driver license to apply.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in high school and be under age 18 at the time of application.​
  • In addition to our driving lessons with qualified instructors in vehicles we provide: applicants must have a parent (or supportive adult age 21+ with a valid driver license for at least 3 years) who can provide the student with a minimum 5 hours of supervised driving practice during the course, in a vehicle not provided by us.

  • We are experiencing a shortage of qualified instructors at the same time we are in growing demand!  Therefore, we are prioritizing Reynolds High School Students.
  • RHS students may apply at the main office bookkeepers window:  M-F 9am-2pm.  Enrollment is closed the month of July.  Payment is due upon application, cash or check only.
  • Non-Reynolds students can submit a lottery draw request on the application page of this site (button below).  We sometimes have availability for out of district students, and if we do, we will draw from the lottery pool and contact those families to make an offer.​​​​

scheduling

  • Qualified applicants will be contacted a month or two prior to the start of a course session with available space.
  • Before we can have a student participate in the upcoming course, it is required the student & parent first attend the orientation meeting.  A supportive adult age 21+ who has maintained a valid driver license for at least 3 years can substitute for parent attendance.
  • ​We make contact by email first, providing info and a course calendar for you to review.  We then follow up by phone to schedule classes & driving lessons, and answer any questions you may have.  We will attempt voicemail and text when phone calls go unanswered.

COURSE SUMMARY
          We offer course sessions throughout the year:  spring, summer, fall, and winter.  Each course session consists of:

  • A 3-hour mandatory parent & teen orientation class - Establish a plan for success!
​
  • 10 additional student classroom sessions, each 3 hours - Learn key concepts.
​
  • 6 behind the wheel driving lessons: each lesson is 2+ hours and includes both driving instruction and observation of another student's driving instruction - Skills development.
​
  • At home student study, projects, and parent/ mentor supervised driving practice - Support for building safe driving habits.
​
  • Classroom written final exam & behind the wheel drive testing - Assessment.  (No need for minors to be re-tested at the DMV!)
