Few other employers allow their employees to identify their work availability. As an instructor, you will offer your availability to work about 2 months prior to the start of a course session. The program manager will then assign you students who are desiring services at those times. Time off can be arranged with the program manager in advance. No work will be imposed on holidays.

Our current rate for instructors is $26/hr. We also contribute to PERS retirement when new instructors are already participating in PERS (educators).

As driver education takes place after school hours and summers, it is considered part-time. Although hours worked can teeter on full-time if desired, there are planned breaks between course sessions and holidays. Some instructors choose to work much more closely to full-time and some as few as 3 hours per week. Some may opt to work year round, while others may take certain seasons off.
